Diversity Equity and Inclusion at The Eye Care Institute and Butchertown Clinical Trials

We believe the unique talents, qualities, and characteristics of our staff and doctors give us the opportunity to reach our goals of improving vision through our routine, medical and surgical eye care services, and improving human health through the services provided by our clinical trials division.

We have many training programs, initiatives, and resources to allow our staff members to thrive as individuals and to offer their best, whether at work or in each person’s life outside of the workplace. Our programs include education and skills development tracks for healthcare, successful communications, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).

We choose to cultivate and encourage a diverse workforce, equitable systems, and inclusive culture through job-related training, consultations, and leadership development. We find these skills development sessions help us enhance and enrich our organization and benefit our personal lives as well.

Our formal relationship with our outside communications consultant began in 2014 and with our DEI consultant in 2020.
