Dr. Pattar was born in Jackson, MS, and spent his elementary school years in Louisville where he attended Sacred Heart Model School. Dr. Pattar completed his undergraduate degree in Political Science at Creighton University in Omaha, NE. Next, Dr. Pattar earned both his Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Cellular and Integrative Physiology at Indiana University. Then, Dr. Pattar went on to earn his Medical Degree at Indiana University. A few weeks ago Dr. Pattar completed his Residency in Ophthalmology, after serving as Chief Resident, at Indiana University.
Dr. Pattar will practice comprehensive ophthalmology with The Eye Care Institute where he will focus on cataract surgery, treatment of eye diseases and management of vitreo-retinal diseases. Dr. Pattar will share evening and weekend call responsibility with Dr’s Meyer and Greene.
Dr. Pattar enjoys spending time with his wife, young daughter, and two dogs. His interests include outdoor activities including hiking and running as well as cooking meals on the grill. He also enjoys listening to music especially his collection of vinyl records at home or going to outdoor concerts. Additionally, he is an avid sports fan particularly of Indiana teams like the Pacers, Colts, and Indiana Hoosiers. Dr. Pattar is excited to be in Louisville as he and his family love eating at local restaurants.
