If you have ever had difficulty finding a parking space at our main location, you will be glad to know we are adding 31 spaces to our parking lot; this will satisfy demand for years to come and allow our patients to park closest to the main entry doors. The lot is being constructed in the field behind our Story Avenue building.
Although not officially a “green project,” we have taken many steps to help our environment. All trees being removed will be shredded into wood chips. The wood chips will form a construction barrier and then will be moved to the edge of the finished parking lot so they can decompose onsite. Much of the rock for the foundation is coming from a quarry in Indiana only a few miles from here. Also, the concrete and rock being removed from the Louisville Extreme Park to make way for the new downtown bridge will be crushed and moved less than a mile to form the base of our new parking lot.
These additional parking spaces should be ready by May 1st.
