The Eye Care Institute, recognizing the needs of persons in the Ohio River valley, has formed the Dry Eye Center of Kentucky.
This new department of The Eye Care Institute is designed to meet the needs of persons in the region by bringing together a comprehensive set of treatment resources to increase comfort of those suffering from dry eyes.
These treatments include
preferred prescription medications
preferred over the counter medications
preferred punctual plugs
vitamin therapy recommendations
specialized medical treatment, when indicated.
Dr. Meyer will serve as the medical director of the Dry Eye Center of Kentucky with all doctors at The Eye Care Institute providing care. Dr. Meyer is in the processing of developing care protocols, and more information will be coming about that soon. The idea of the Center is to make patients aware that there is help available for their condition, and to standardize the care, via treatment protocols, that our patients receive. You won’t see us building a new office for this, but you will see us placing additional emphasis on making sure our patients know their concerns are addressed with extra care.
As dry eye is one of the most searched-for eye care terms on the Internet, we launched a<span”> new website DryEyeCenterOfKentucky.com to provide additional information as well as links to external resources.
